Each seminar is concluded with an examination. Examination is conducted as self-examination or by presentation of the results of a case study analysed as part of group work. Students also prepare for and participate in case studies at the seminars. Every seminar requires pre-reading and home study of certain topics specified by the course leaders. Students document home study and case study preparation in an individual course diary.

To successfully complete the postgraduate programme "Regulatory Affairs for Biopharmaceuticals" with the award of the diploma, students must also submit a thesis.
